As a young Haitian person, my role is to help my country, so I am participating in this group so I can give support.  I want to help this group — I want to become one with other people so that I can help Haitian society so that other countries don’t treat us like we are nothing.  We are all people, we all have the possibility to learn, we all have the same blood running through our veins.  And there can never be change without “tèt ansanm” (working together).

Myself, I’m a young musician who plays the alto sax, and I’m an artist that makes beautiful things, things that will lift up my country.  Myself, I like to write poetry sometimes, and stories about my country — my country’s culture is my text.

Laj: 19 ans

Mwen menm, mwen renmen ekri pwezi de fwa, mwen ekri istwa sou peyi a, sou kilti peyi’m se mwen tèks.
